If you're wandering through Plymouth and find yourself in need of a cozy spot to unwind, look no further than the charming Liner Lookout Cafe. Nestled on The Hoe, this delightful cafe offers not just a haven from the hustle and bustle but also breathtaking views that perfectly complement the rich aromas wafting from its kitchen.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, punctuated by the laughter of children enjoying the play area while their parents sip on expertly crafted coffees. The cafe's eclectic and quirky decor adds a touch of personality, making it a delightful stop for families, couples, or anyone in search of a little respite. The welcoming owners are always on hand, providing service that feels more like being welcomed into a friend’s home than a typical cafe experience.

When it comes to the menu, Liner Lookout Cafe doesn’t disappoint. Whether you’re in the mood for a **heartwarming snack** like the Toasted Fruit Loaf, or you’re craving a more substantial meal such as the 6oz Beef Burger or Lousianna Chicken Burger—you’ll find options to satisfy every palate. For those who prefer a sweeter start to the day, the cafe's **pancakes with syrup** are a must-try, transforming a simple breakfast into a delightful indulgence.

Reviewers rave about the delicious offerings, with Emmeline McArdle noting how the cafe’s fun toys and playstuff keep little ones entertained while parents enjoy their coffee and the view. Piers Smith describes a windy afternoon spent next to the lighthouse, made sweeter by the “delicious hot chocs” and top-notch service. Rob appreciates the “lovely couple” behind the counter, and the delightfully nostalgic bacon and egg baps that bring him back time and again.

The cafe also exudes a community spirit, evident in Karen McQuilkin's touching review where she expresses gratitude to the owners for their thoughtful help during a recent incident with her dog. It's little gestures like these that make Liner Lookout Cafe not just a place to grab a bite but a beloved local gem that fosters connections. With such consistently cheerful experiences, it’s no wonder this charming spot has become a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

So, whether you're visiting Plymouth for the stunning coastal views or simply in search of a delightful cafe to recharge, make sure to stop by Liner Lookout Cafe. With great food, friendly faces, and spectacular vistas, it promises to be a highlight of your trip.

Lovely cafe, fab location to enjoy the view and let my boys run around safely. Great service, coffee and extremely friendly owners. We loved the little querky cafe. Fun toys/play stuff to keep little ones entertained while you enjoy the views and coffee.

My partner, Darren and I love this place - often grab a tea and maybe a kitkat when he lets me! Dave very kindly helped get our dog, Raye out when trapped in the railings recently. Thank you! Highly recommended! :)

The cheapest place in the area, NOTE there is no inside seating in this tiny establishment, so you may need good weather.

Great outdoor location with good coffee. Many interesting books with old photos and history of plymouth. The friendly proprietor relates secret stories of Plymouth some of which may be true.
